Jane is delighted to announce that she will be returning to the Abbey of Ligugé (where she worked from 2014 to 2018 on the Illuminated Psalter) to continue her project of creating illuminated versions of the Four Gospels (for Cambridge University Press). St John and St Matthew are already published, but she is at present working on St Mark, due for publication in 2027, and St Luke will eventually follow. From the 15th of September 2026 she will be at the Abbey of Ligugé each Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 9h30am to 6pm. The only exceptions will be days (or weeks) when Jane has professional duties which require her to travel to Ireland or England; and these dates are noted below (for the period of September to December 2026) and will also be posted on her studio door at the Abbey.
Her studio is located in the first small room, or “parlor”, on the left just after the entrance to the Abbey’s church. Vistors are most welcome to drop in, to see the page she is working on and to discuss this lovely project with her!
Here are the dates when Jane will NOT be at the Abbey in the coming weeks:
Friday 25 September – absent for the afternoon only
Thursday 15 October – absent for the morning only
All the week of 19-23 October (setting up an exhibition in Cork!)
and also the following Tuesday and Thursday, 28 and 29 October
and finally away from 24 November to 4 December (for book-signings and workshops in the UK)
